FanX part 2

 I was thinking of taking Kilian to FanX with us, but in all honesty I really didn't think he would have a fun time. I was also super scared I would lose him, I could see him spotting something he wanted to look at and running off to be lost forever in the crowd. So we made a compromise, we would ride the train into Salt Lake and meet Aunt Nikki for a fun day with her and her family. FanX immediately left his mind. He was beyond excited to ride the train and couldn't stay in his seat while we waited for it.

We met Nikki at the frontrunner (train) station and Kilian hopped right in her car and asked if he could see Parker and Andrew (Nikki's boys) then Avery and I headed to the convention center for more FanX fun. Today was WAY more crowded than yesterday. We looked at a few of the booths that we wanted to look at yesterday (if we found them) and then I dragged Avery to celebrity row where I got to meet Chris Potter. He plays Tim Fleming the father of Amy Fleming in a show called Heartland that I watch. I actually got to talk to him about his horse and the horses he gets to ride on set. He was super nice too, but to be honest he also seemed a bit overwhelmed. 😆 Poor guy.

We went and looked at other celebrities to maybe get autographs or selfies with, but either the lines were way to long or it was to expensive. So Avery and I just walked around looking at the various booths and attractions and loving all the wonderful cosplay costumes that we saw.

After a few hours I think we were all FanX'd out. Our feet hurt and we were hungry, so we headed to Costa Vida before getting on the train to head up to Ogden to pick up Kilian (about an hour ride) and then ride the train all the way back to Draper (about an hour and a half ride). The train from Ogden to Woods Cross was fine, but once we hit Salt Lake the train filled with tons of people, a lot of them in cosplay. I have never seen that train that full, it was standing room only! Luckily the people around us where nice and we just talked till we had to navigate through the sea of people the exit the train.

Kilian had a lot of fun at Aunt Nikki's house and wants to go back as soon as he can, but only if he can ride the train again. :D We got back to Shelly's and pretty much crashed we were so tired. We're going to be leaving fairly early tomorrow because I need to be at work at 11PM and want to get a nap in before work.

Overall Avery and I had a great time at FanX....but I'm not sure if we would do it again...to many people. :p

The day finally arrived. It's FANX TIME!!!!!

Avery and I have tickets for today (Thursday) and Friday. Lizzi and Becca decided to tag along with us today. We got our tickets and made it just in time for the Lord of the Rings panel. The girls didnt want to go with me so I braved it alone. Boy am I sure glad i did!!!! It was so great and so much fun to hear all the stories from their time on set. It was Elijah Wood, *swoon* Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, and John Rhys-Davies who is HIARIOUS by the way. They talked about how John Rhys-Davies (who played Gimli) kept forgetting his lines that he was supposed to say in Dwarfish; and how everyone else knew the line except him. He said they kept trying to help him. Elijah Wood tried to get Sean Astin on the phone (because he couldn't make it on Thursday but was planning on being there for Friday) but it went to voicemail. lol

After the panel I went and found the girls (who found a family friend) and started to wander looking for lunch. We did find Avery's cosplay doppelgänger and I got a picture of the two of them. 

We found a (EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE) concessions stand and grabbed a sandwich. While eating my cousin Matt found us and we got to hang out with him and wander the booths for awhile before he had to go to work (at the convention). Before I knew it, it was time to go get in line for my photo op with ELIJAH WOOD!!!!!💓💓The line moved a lot faster than I had anticipated and I didn't get very much time with him. Pretty much to say hi, get the picture and then I told him it was an honor to meet him. But he was super sweet and my heart was pounding the whole time. **Insert fangirl moment here**

The rest of the night we wandered around all the booths and admired all the awesome cosplays around us till our feet couldn't take it anymore. So we headed back to Lizzi and Becca's and grabbed some food on the way before relieving Shelly of Kilian's nonstop talking. :p Actually she said he wasn't that bad. Today was SO much fun and I am excited to see what tomorrow holds in store for us.
