Happy Birthday

To Tasha on her birthday:

"The Road Not Taken By: Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
My niece Natasha has hit a milestone in her life, she is turning 18 today. What an exciting yet scary birthday. Tasha is a strong girl who loves to be friend everyone. She has an amazing heart and loves to have fun with friends and family. So here's to you Tasha...

1st Doctors Appointment

Our first doctors appointment was yesterday Hooray! :)
(Yup I'm going to be one of those bloggers that blogs about all the updates and Dr. Appointments and everything new we find out about our little bean. :p)
We were so excited we arrived 15 minutes early and had all our paperwork filled out. After all the routine stuff...blood pressure and yada yada. They gave us a bag with a packet of information and a few magazines and a bunch of other stuff so while we waited for the doctor we looked through all those. It was fun. Then my doctor came in to answer questions and told us stuff not to do and stuff to do. Then she left so I could change and came back to do an ultra sound. :D We were so excited to see our little bean...that's exactly what it looks like too a little bean. :p Then we were really shocked when she said "And here's the heartbeat." I said the heartbeat? We can hear the heart beat? Sure enough there it was. :D It was so cool and exciting. I couldn't believe it. She did verify that there is only one and said that our due date is November 26. :D We are very excited...Here's our ultra sound picture.

50 Years!

On Friday April 2...50 years ago these two crazy love birds took a trip to Nevada (either Reno or Wendover) to elope. After having to call my Grandma and pleading with her to convince the people at the chapel that they were old enough to get married. My Mom and Dad were married. they spent the night in a hotel room bought by the money my aunts and uncle pooled together for them and then they drove home cause Dad had to "ship out"for his last time with the Army. My mom's mom was out of town and was furious...not cause my mom was now married but because she didn't get to go to the wedding and they didn't have a reception. So they got to planning and 4 months later when Dad came home they had a reception...for my grandma's sake. :) Well 8 kids, 22 grand kids (soon to be 23), and 4 great grand kids later. Mom and Dad get to celebrate 50 wonderful years together. They are currently serving a mission for the LDS Church in Ecuador Here's what my Mom said about their 50th wedding anniversary...
"Well we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary last Fri. They told Dad that he didn't have to go on Fri because of our anniversary. So we got a taxi and went to a iguana park. It was amazing. There were so many of them just running around loose. We went to this one tree and looked up and I bet there were around 100 iguanas in the tree. Up in the top of the tree, on all of the branches and the trunks. They would climb over one another to get to the top of the tree. There was a lot of kids there because it was a holiday, and it was fun just watching them. They would pull their tails and try to catch them to pet them, but the iguanas didn't want any part of that and would squirm until they got away and then they would run for the trees. After that we went and walked along a river. They have made a nice walk way along this river. The river is as big as the Mississippi river and it is just as dirty. After that we went to dinner. It turned out to be a nice day. Two of the missionary couples bought us 2 dozens roses and gave us cards and decorated our door with a 50 sign and crepe paper. Then another one made us some cupcakes and a card and another made us a cake. We shared the cake with all of the missionaries." They are having a great time in Ecuador and enjoying their mission a lot. Congratulations Mom and Dad on 50 great years. :) We love you!

Already? Really?

Ok I realize that I am not that far along and so I thought the only thing that I was really going to be experiencing was nausea and some discomfort. Then all these interesting things started happening like when James and I went for a walk I could smell things like people barbecuing before he could and the perfume or cologne of the woman/man that just walked by. Then later discovering that I now have a very sensitive nose...or as James puts it I am now his little blood hound. In all honesty I thought all this stuff came later...kinda slowly and gradually but I guess there is just more stuff that happens sooner than I thought. Well I had one of those "really this is happening now" moments last night. (Just for the record currently this is kinda embarrassing but very funny too I admit) With this new change to swing shift for James it has left me a little worried about him driving home while he was making the transition from 5Am to 12AM. But usually it hasn't bothered me to bad. Well last night we had this freak snowstorm that left us with a good foot of snow on the ground. I started worrying about James being tired and driving home in this blizzard. So I made sure to stay up till 10 to call him and ask him to be safe, thinking that talking to him at this last break would ease my mind and I would slip into sleep...nope. While I was laying in bed I had these crazy thoughts come into my head like what if he gets stuck and cant get to a hotel or anything to stay the night there? And would he really call me if he needs me? then they really started getting crazy...like James getting in a car accident and what happened if he did and he died pretty soon I was crying my eyes out and I had no clue why cause I knew that I was worrying for nothing but for some reason I couldn't be consoled. After I was done with my crazy cry fest I thought well I should fall asleep now...nope. I couldn't sleep I was so worried about James getting home safely. Then as soon as he came home he came upstairs (he was getting phone calls and knew of my freak out party. :p) to kiss me goodnight and to show me he was safe. As soon as he did this I rolled over and fell right to sleep. I couldn't believe it. I mean seriously this early? Or am I just crazy?
