New Ratties

When we went up to Salem for the state fair on our way home we stopped and got 2 new rat friends for Ezrie. It didnt take them long to get settled in their new home. We saw Ezrie perk up and start acting a lot happier almost instantly. We were no longer worried about her being depressed. Our new rats are 8 months old. James let Avery name one and she chose Marshmallow for the little white one. So James decided to name the brown one Hershey. They are so sweet. Hershey is very adventurous and curious. Marshmallow is sweet and shy.

Spontaneous

Well Mom and Dad Armstrong have gotten an offer on the house and we find ourselves yet again having to pack up our meager and dwindling belongings to move somewhere else. But where to? Well that's what we are in the process of trying to figure out. Last Sunday (9/9/18) they got an offer for their house. They told us they were going to counter offer, but in the event they accepted we needed to start looking at where we want to end up. So we decided to take a very last minute spontaneous trip up to Washington. I had to work Monday morning and then didn't have to work again till Friday. James had till Thursday off. So after I got home from work we packed up and then picked Avery up at school with the surprise of going up to Washington and seeing Aunt Lisa. The ride was fairly fun we took our new car. So it was neat to see how it traveled and how we traveled in it. The next day was a whirl wind. we got up, had breakfast and got ready for the day. Then we all headed up to Seattle. We drove around Seattle. James and Avery got to see the space needle then we headed back out and stopped along some of the outlying cities. I got to show them Maple Valley and Covington where I use to live. We even stopped at Lake Meridian (where Tukker and I use to play a lot) and had lunch.
We thoroughly wore ourselves out, but we saw pretty much what we wanted to see to help give us a good idea. The kids were glad to be out of the car and back at Lisa's to spend some time with her and to have a movie night. It started with Ghostbusters 2 but Avery got scared of the pink slime. So we opted for a good ol' Disney show...Coco.  Kilian's favorite show right now! :) He was standing right in front of the TV trying to "play" the guitar and dancing to the music.

School has Started

School has started! Hooray!!! Avery was so excited to go back that she actually woke me up at 4AM to ask if it was time to get ready. When it was time to get up and get ready she practically bounded out of bed. :p She was so excited to go to the school AND ride the bus. I asked her if she wanted me to drive her in. But she wasn't having it. :p We were even 10 minutes early waiting for the bus.
She was so tired for her first day, it made her a little grumpy so she didn't have a very good day. But the next few days were a lot better. She really loves school and is so excited that school has started again.
