This past week was a busy one. James and I cleaned out the basement and organized everything as best we could. We hauled up a bunch of Mom and dad A stuff, our stuff and his sister Lisa's stuff to take over to the garage sale. It was a lot of hard work but the basement looks so much better now. It took a few hauls but when Saturday came around we were ready. Everyone seemed to do pretty well, James and I were pretty shocked though. Things we thought wouldn't sell did and things we thought would sell didn't. No one bought the furniture but bought all the nick knacks and things. kinda backwards. All in all it was pretty good.
After the garage sale was over we loaded up the rest of the stuff to take to the DI (Thrift Store). While the boys were doing that, I decided to take Avery to get her very first hair cut. She definitely needed it. Here's what she looked like earlier in the day...
My sister in law Nikki told me about the lady she takes her kids to close to her house called the cut hut. So we called to see if we could make an appointment. Luckily she had an opening. She was so good with Avery. When we got there she sat Avery on the chair, gave her a sucker and talked with her and became Avery's friend. Avery loved it, she was a little shy but after Carrie gave her the sucker she opened up and talked to her and answered all her questions. Avery did so well. She just sat there and ate her sucker and let Carrie cut her hair. She didn't even seem to care. I'm so proud of my brave girl.
Aw my cute little girl. Carrie showed me this cute and easy way to do Avery's hair called a princess bow. Her hair is a little to short right now, but when it grows out a little more it will be the perfect length.
After such a big day Avery was tired. So tired that when we stopped by Home Depot to drop off the truck to her grumpy. She fell asleep in the cart.It was pretty cute, she would lift her head up and "look around" but her eyes were still closed. She reminded me of a floppy headed puppy. :p
It was a fun and busy day.
