First Game of the Season

Baseball Time!!!! This year Kilian is on team Angels. I like his coach this year he is super laid back and all about letting the kids have fun. He also seems better equipped to handle toddlers. Kilian had fun the first round but half way through he wanted to come sit with us and watch while snacking on apples. Then changed his mind and ran out to finish the game strong. He's such a silly boy and we sure love him.

Cake Pops

Avery made a cake and we tried to make cake pops out of them. They didn't work out like I thought they would. Then I found out that Avery didn't make the "cake" with a cake mix, but used pancake mix instead. LOL

Making New Friends

After I picked up Kilian from pre-school He was telling me that he learned about lady bugs at school while I drove us to the store. When we got to the store we found a lady bug friend that landed on us and stayed with us for about 5 min. Kilian was so excited and even more excited when the lady bug actually landed on his hand. It was a very cute experience.

Saying Goodbye

In 2007 James and I went to go see some puppies at our friend Jim Pettingill's house. They were super fun and cute and we didn't intend to get a puppy. But there was this one little puppy that played with me and then climbed up into my lap, curled up and fell asleep. I instantly fell in love and named him Rosko. That puppy turned into a dog and spent 15 wonderful years with us and my parents. Now deaf, covered in tumors, suffering from arthritis and going blind. We made the tough decision to put him to sleep and send him back to live again with Heavenly Father. It was a super emotional day for all of us. Kilian had school. So after we dropped him off we headed over to the vet's office where James met Avery and I. They let us stay with him the whole time which was absolutely wonderful considering that most places don't do that anymore. We asked the vet if what we were doing was right and he gave us a great answer. He said that he has people make these appointments and then change their minds multiple times. He then said what we need to realize is that dogs to reminisce on the past and they don't look to the future, they live in the here and now. So if they are having a good day then they are happy, but if they have a bad day then they suffer. A couple days ago He was having such a bad day that I almost felt like he was looking at me and asking for me to just let him go.

I was able to hold onto him and give him loves and pets while the vet injected him with the medicine. He went super fast and didn't feel any pain. After the injection the vet left the room and let us have as much time as we needed with Rosko to hold him and love on him and say goodbye.

We sure love Rosko and will miss him greatly. But I know he is in a better place and doing better.
