Ward Campout

 

Our new ward does a camp out every year. We were excited to participate in this years camp out in Warm Springs Nevada. An oasis in the middle of the desert that is supplied by a natural hot springs. We went to a property owned by the church where they had two pools from the spring. We got there a little before dark which gave us enough time to set up our tent. The kids wanted to go swimming but we realized that we forgot to pack towels. We made them a deal that we would go swimming all day till we left the next day, and they could use their blankets for towels. It worked out well because the Call family was able to make a fire and invited us over to make s'mores. We had a fun time talking and telling stories and the kids ran around for a bit. The next day the wind was blowing furiously. Avery was in the pool before breakfast and Kilian would have been too but we convinced him to have breakfast first. After he got in his suit and James and him went swimming. I had my suit on but was reluctant to get in the water because the wind was so cold. Luckily Kilian didn't stay in for to long. So while Avery swam James laid back down in the tent and watched Kilian and I play catch. We did that for awhile till the wind became even worse. That's when we decided to pack up and head home. We had a great time and I am very glad we went.
