I wanted to just get out of the house today, so James suggested we go out to check out Pink Coral sand dunes. It was beautiful! James' back has been bothering him quite a bit lately, so he didnt get to go as far as the kids and I did. But it was so pretty and the kids had so much fun. Kilian even made a sand angel. I love being able to get out and explore with my family.
So excited to get these stitches out. They itch like crazy. My hand has healed up nicely and I am ready to be back to normal.
On Saturday (the 19th) we colored eggs and the bunny came after the kids went to bed. I had to work Sunday (today) so James called when the kids woke up and we did a video chat so I could somewhat be apart of Easter morning.
This past weekend I had a bit of an accident at work. One of the dogs (Sully) we have is a little aggressive especially to other dogs. If he sees another dog he usually will try and start a fight through the kennels. Well on Friday he slipped the lead and went after a dog named Loki, I was trying to get him away but was struggling. So I grabbed the airhorn that we have in the back to break up fights. As soon as I pressed the button Sully turned and went after the horn grabbing my hand in the process. At first I was MAD! I was able to get him back in his kennel and went to the bathroom to clean my hand that was now bleeding. While I was cleaning I started to feel light headed and went to go sit down at my desk. I put my head down close to my knees but I was getting super nauseas and light headed. I dry heaved into the garbage can but nothing came up since I hadn't eaten breakfast yet. I called my supervisor to let her know, then I laid my jacket on the ground and laid down I think I may have passed out. Next I know there is an officer at the shelter and then the EMT's and firefighters came in, then my supervisor Jen. While they were cleaning up my hand to look at it I passed out a couple more times. Jen ended up taking me to the ER cause there was no way I was getting into the ambulance. We were able to get ahold of James who met us at the ER. I ended up having 3 puncture wounds and a gash that required 2 stiches. I went home after the ER and spent the day resting. Saturday I had a mental breakdown and couldn't stop crying and hyperventilating. James took me into work just so I could look at Sully and try and "get back on the horse" But I ended up taking Saturday off too. Today (Sunday) hasn't been bad. I wont go around Sully obviously but I have been able to control my emotions today and as long as I take my pain meds my hand seems to do okay. The whole experience was terrifying and I think it may take me a little while to bounce back from it.
