Jubilee of Tree's

Close to Thanksgiving the Jubilee of Tree's starts and runs for 3 days. This is an event through Intermountain Health Care. People can build or make a tree and showcase it; most if not all of them are for sale to help benefit a certain extension of the hospital. This year it was for Psychiatric and Counseling. With is being so close to Thanksgiving we had the opportunity to take most of the family with us. Lisa was down from Washington and on her way she stopped in Ogden to pick up Nate, Ethan and the twins. It was so much fun spending the evening with them and seeing all the beautiful trees.

Fun at Work

So my job is SUPER stressful and can be very overwhelming at times to the point of tears. ( just being truthful) So when little moments of stress relief or humor show up in the day, you grab it and run. Today for instance. I was charging my phone and had to use it so I used this extra plastic piece we found from a rolling walker to be a holder for my phone charger. My boss walked in and started at it for awhile then laughed and said he almost freaked out because he thought it was a cigarette. We all had a good laugh and in the spirit of the humor of the moment I decided to act. I rolled up a piece of paper, colored one end yellow, the other end red and black. Then I replaced my phone charger with the fake cigarette with our NO smoking sign that we give to patients above it. I know it sounds crazy, but we all thought it was freaking hilarious. I anticipate this to stay up awhile to provide a little comic relief...till it gets old. :p

Found

We love being able to paint rocks and hide them For others to find. But it’s always super fun to find someone else’s rocks. Today we found a cute heart rock when we were at the hospital for Kilians check up. He was so excited, but he’s so use to hiding them that instead of keeping it, he just hid it in a different place at the hospital. Such a cute boy! We sure love this fun random act of kindness.

Halloween Adventures

The week of Halloween has been a fun and busy one for us.

We had our ward trunk or treat which was a lot of fun and the kids got a lot of candy. Avery got to go around with her friend Bella and Kilian has fun going around to all the different cars saying “trick or treat” it took him a little while to understand the concept but once he did, he was off and running.

For Halloween we usually go and get a pizza shaped like a pumpkin for dinner before we head out for trick or treating. But this year we were invited over to Nona and Grumpys for dinner. So we decided to have our tradition a night early. We had a Halloween themed dinner while we watched Hocus Pocus. 

Halloween was so much fun. I got to dress up for work with my Coworkers which was a lot of fun. My original costume didn’t come together so I had to improvise, but everyone really seemed to like it.

This Halloween was a rare first for James. The haunt was closed on Halloween and he got to go trick or treating with us. We headed over to Nona and Grumpys for dinner and then went around their neighborhood to go trick or treating which was kinda a bust. So we drove around to some other places. All the pictures i tried to get didn’t turn out to well because it was to dark. But overall a very fun day.
