Desert Beauty

For the past 3 days we have seen a constant drizzle of rain. Welcome to Spring in the Desert! :) It sure changes the landscape and has this unique beauty to it that I love. It also does something which I love....WATERFALLS!!!! We took a drive out to Snow Canyon State Park tonight to see what kinds of waterfalls we could see and we were not disappointed. There was a lot of varying types of waterfalls. The kind that just ran down the rocks and then the ones that fell down great heights onto the sand below. It was Gorgeous! here are some pictures...

Quality Family Time

It's been pretty rainy lately so one day with the grey clouds over hanging threatening to rain but not yet; we decided to take advantage of it and go out for a little family hike. There is a very short trail right by our house that leads to where the pioneers quarried the sandstone for the temple and for some homes and other early buildings. We have always wanted to go on this hike so we decided to go. The weather was nice and cool and beautiful and the hike was pretty and easy. Which easy is always nice when your 8 months pregnant. :p At the end of the trail was plaques talking about the technique that was used to quarry the stone and haul it out to be used. Avery had a lot of fun learning about this and then going to find the indents in the rocks where the tools would break it apart. It was a beautiful day for a little hike and fun time with the family. :)
