Just to tired

Kilian didnt have a nap today so by dinner time he was waiting patiently for me to make his food but he just did not have the gas to keep going.

First Hair Cut

My little boy is growing up!!! This is so bitter sweet. Kilians hair has been getting longer and longer and I've been debating on cutting his hair. Well the day finally came, instead of taking him to a salon I decided to just cut it myself. Last night (Feb 13, 2109)I decided it was time. So before we started I set up the ipad with a show for him to watch to keep his attention. The before pictures:

 Kilian did a great job, he kept very still and just watched his show. When it came time to focus on the back of his hair, I just set the ipad on his tray to get him to look down. Worked great. After I was done he went from a little baby to a little man.

 I think I did a pretty good job, wish I would have wiped the dinner off his face before I took the picture though. :D He looks so cute with his new haircut but it is still so bitter sweet. All those cute baby curls are gone. :(

SNOW and a New Baby Octopus

This past week we've had some exciting things happen. First is "snowed" not enough to stick but it still sure was fun to watch.

A few days after this "light dusting" we got a more realistic light dusting and he was SO excited to go outside and play in it. In fact Avery's school issued a Snow Day. :)) Seeing Utah snow on a snow day verses this was quite comical. But it was fun to have both kiddos home to enjoy the snow.

 When I went to work, it felt like a pretty normal day. But then my friend Nancy came up to me and asked if I'd seen the new baby octopus. WHAT!?! NO!?! I was so excited, she said she'd watch the store while I go look at him. HE'S SO CUTE!!!!!😍 And tiny too, he's only about the size of a ping pong ball...and that's including his tentacles.

January

We had a very NICE January. weather wise nice. we had quite  a few sunny and warm days and a lot of sunny but not quite so warm days. :p We also received a late Christmas gift from Gordy and Kim that the kids were very excited about. They also sent some delicious homemade goodies that we were excited about. :)

 Kilian has been learning a lot of new words which has been fun and he still sings like crazy.

I had January off from school, so I had a chance to catch up on some of my listings in my boutique and I had some free time to make some more jewelry and to paint some more.

 One of those very nice days we got back from running some errands. When we got out of the car Kilian started to walk down the drive way and he would look back at me and then go a little farther. I figured it was a really nice day so we could take a fun little walk down the lane. I didnt think he'd go to far before wanting to turn around. So we started off, he was very excited. We got to the neighbors house and he said hi the their chickens and their dog. Then he went further and got to the last house on the lane and they were outside with their dogs. So he played with those dogs for a bit before continuing on. He walked all the way down to the beach all by himself. Excluding the time I picked him up to cross the highway and to help him over some big rocks to get to the beach. He was so proud of himself and he took his little sting ray with him the whole way.

The very next day was just as nice as the last. This time his sister wanted to walk down to the beach with me. So we headed down but not to long after we got down to the beach we heard a little familiar "squawk" and turned to find Daddy, Nona and Grumpy helping a little Kilian down the stairs to the beach. We all had a fun time playing and walking on the beach.

 We had fun at the aquarium this month, playing games and just being silly.

 At the end of the month Avery had a 4 day weekend because of teacher conferences, mom and dad also had 2 house showings in one day. So we decided to make a day of it. We first headed to Depoe Bay to the whale watching station. They were closed but it was still fun to walk around watch for whales and go under the bridge. We then headed into Lincoln City to a park by Devils Lake. It was a really neat park right on the lake and the kids had a lot of fun. James headed off to work after that and the rest of us went out to dinner before we headed home for an evening of relaxing. It was such a beautiful day for such a fun adventure.
