Avery Mae Armstrong.
Well before I tell you about our little girl. I just wanted everyone to know that now that this little one is here our blog is going private. It will be official next Friday. So if you would still like to follow please leave a comment with your email, send me an email or let me know on facebook. You can even text me. :) Just let me know by Friday. In Feb I will still do CHD week and for that time I will temporarily go back to being public. So send me your emails if you would still like to read our blog. :)
This past Monday James and I went to the hospital at midnight to be induced. (which is a WHOLE other story) By Tuesday night June 19 at 11:52 PM We finally got to meet our little girl. Despite being so tired and shaky it was so fun to see her. I couldn't believe how much hair she had. All I could do was stare at her while they got ready for James to cut her cord. Which as my doctor put it was James' time ti shine. :p After they took her to be weighed and all that I watched to make sure my Mother in Law went with her. James was still by me. After they got her all wrapped up they asked if I wanted her. I was shaking so bad I asked them to give her to James. While I was getting all patched up I watched her and James. This was so fun for me. He was holding her and just looking at her and she was looking right back up at him. They just sat and studied each other. I can remember talking to the doctor asking him questions and just talking. Everything kinda runs together though. After the doc left a nurse came in to bath the little girl and after James went with another nurse to take her to the nursery and get our stuff transferred over to the other room. A nurse helped me clean up and took me to the room where we were going to stay. I thought about making some calls but I was so tired and who really wants to talk to an exhausted person at 2 AM. :) I have more to tell and will be telling this story in full for the purpose of the journal side of this blog. But for now this is me letting everyone know that our little Avery is here.
P.S. Avery was 8lbs 1oz and 19.5" long

Baby Update
We are HUGE friends fans and the clip above comes fairly close to explaining how I feel right now. :) With the exception of the anger towards the father, which I don't feel at all. I am however getting to the point where I am losing my patience with pregnancy and just want her out. The doctor said that he thinks she's going to be a big baby...like 9 pounds big. the last check up on Tues he was happy to hear that I have been cramping but she still hasn't dropped I am not dilated and it's just plain annoying. Mom A. says James was the same way, he just had no intention of coming out. As of right now the doctor is planning on inducing me on the 19th if nothing has happened. I really hope she comes before that, but I guess you never know. James' mom has been down this whole week helping with the final touches in getting things ready. We cleaned the carpets in the baby's room, James put the crib together and we got the room pretty much set up. We may add somethings here and there that we'll find we need. But for the most part. We're ready. Now it's just a matter of getting her to cooperate. :p Here are some pictures of what the nursery/office looks like now. Again we'll probably add things like drapes and stuff but we have the necessities. :)

Life Update 2 of 2
After Mom and Dad A. headed home Friday morning. I started getting some of our stuff ready so we could leave when James got home. This weekend was a big weekend and we were both excited and a little nervous that it was going to stress us out. Saturday morning was the yearly Perry City yard sale. Yup the whole "city" gets together to do a yard sale. We do this every year and every year we get to sell a bunch of stuff we don't need (or just haul it to the thrift store later) and we make some money. Well due to our move and then Abby's transplant. We really didn't think that we would participate this year. But we decided last minute to give it a go. So Friday night before we headed to his parents house. We met Dad at our condo and loaded up our car and his truck with as much as we could. Then we headed out to Perry.
Saturday morning Mom and Dad A. pulled out all their yard sale items, we unloaded our stuff out of dad's truck and our car and I made a quick Walmart run to break a $20 into a $10, $5's $1's and Quarters. Lisa came out and had quite a few more books and other things to sell herself. So we had pulled it off. Granted it wasn't as big as it usually is. We usually have Abby with her little table of lemonade and assortment of fruit and muffins trying to make some money herself. We also have a few items from Nikki and last year Kim and Gordy joined the party as well. But again due to Abby's transplant she cant be around a lot of people right now cause she cant get sick...AT ALL. a slight cold could cause rejection and be fatal. Kim had surgery too and is still in re-coop mode himself. So it was kinda a miracle this even happened this year.
The day was nice it stayed sunny yet cool. Lisa and I held the fort down rather well so mom and James were able to take care of some cleaning and other things in the house. It was a lot of fun. Lisa and I haven't had a chance to sit and just chat like that for awhile. Around 12:30 we decided to slowly start to pack things up and by 1:30 we were done. James was helping put stuff back in Dad's truck that needed to go to DI (the thrift store) and Lisa and I helped to organize dad's soccer jerseys and other things that he was selling. Then it was time for a shower and to head out to my sister Shelly's house in Herriman for my baby shower. It was so nice to see my family again. Most of them were able to make it. I also had a couple of friends make it out too. We played some fun games, ate a nice yummy dinner and all around had a great night. Plus I got some MUCH needed baby stuff. It was nice to visit with everyone. I ended up staying way to late and had to make the long drive from Herriman to Brigham City (perry). But it was worth it. :) Unfortunately everyone was having so much fun that nobody took pictures. :(
Sunday we celebrated the twins 1st birthday over at Nikki and Justin's house. and I DID get pictures of that. :) It was a nice relaxing Sunday just visiting, eating and watching the twins rip their cake to shreds. :) Abby and I got to decorate the cute little bears on top of the cake. It was a lot of fun to be able to share that experience with her. After they destroyed their cakes and got a quick bath it was present time. They were so excited about the cute little trains that Mom A. got for them and the phones that Nikki got that they didn't care about much else. Unfortunately it was getting late and we needed to get on the road. We did get to see the eclipse while driving though. I drove and James had a piece of paper with a pin hole in it. He held that up to the window and another piece of paper behind it. So the view of the eclipse went from the pin hole onto the paper behind. It was neat to see. :) If that makes sense. Well there ya have it. Most everything after that has been getting ready for baby. With the exception of our visits to my uncles house in La Verkin to spend time with them. :) Here are some pictures from the twins birthday.

Life Update. 1 0f 2
So I realized that I have been posting all these baby updates after I go to the doctor but I haven't been posting about what we've been doing. Lately it's just been a lot of cleaning and trying to get things ready for the baby. But the weekend before Memorial weekend was the last weekend to head up North until after the baby comes. James' parents decided to come down and help out a bit. So Tues night to Friday morning we were able to enjoy their company. They were such a huge help. Not only were they able to bring some of the bigger baby stuff down from our basement. But they helped us get our guest room ready. It was so nice to have them down. We also had a chance to take them to Memorial park down here. It's this really neat park that has memorials of all the wars. Unfortunately I forgot my camera so I used my phone to take the pictures. Here are just a few...
It was such a nice night for a walk around these memorials. We also got the chance to talk with a gentlemen who told us that he was the 4th generation in his family who served. He said that most of his family was written on those walls. It was such a humbling experience.
Thursday night before they left we decided to take Mom and Dad up Kolob Canyon. Again I forgot my camera, but I took a couple pictures with my phone. :p
Again it was such a beautiful night. The road only goes so far then it turns around and heads out of the canyon. This is part of the scenery that you can see at the end of the road. There was also a few hiking trails. It was so tempting to hike the whole trail. We didn't...due to the fear of maybe going into labor. :p but we did hike to a cute little picnic spot that James and I took a mental note of for later. Someday after our little girl is a little bigger we'll hike all over. But until then James will have to either go alone, find some friends to go with or just wait. :) I would prefer he find some friends and go. So we'll see.
