Dr. Seuss's Birthday

Feb 29-March 4 Avery's school celebrated Dr. Seuss's Birthday with a Literacy Week. Monday they had crazy hat day and Avery was so excited to wear her cowboy hat to school. :)

Tuesday was Books and Breakfast. and I had the opportunity to go with Avery for some yummy breakfast and to sit and read books with her until it was time for me to go to work. Wednesday was Wacky Wednesday and the could have crazy hair and clothes. Avery wasn't very excited about the idea of wearing crazy clothes, but she was all on board with the crazy hair idea. Especially when I told her that I could color her hair just for that day any color she wanted. She opted for purple. :)

 She had a lot of fun on Wacky Wednesday. Thursday was Crazy Sock day in honor of fox in socks. She liked this idea, but wasn't as happy about it as she was with her purple hair. But she still had fun with it, and was happy to wear some of mommy's socks to school.

 Friday was in honor of Avery's favorite book green eggs and ham. She was REALLY excited when they got to have green eggs and ham for lunch that day. She talked about it the rest of the weekend. :) She had a really great time over that week and it was sure fun to get into the spirit of things with her.
