Avery has officially decided what she wants to be for Halloween and now she wont stop asking if we can go buy her costume. I keep telling her that Halloween is still over a month away, but her anxiety is getting the best of her and she is scared that they wont be in stock. We we headed down to the Halloween store that opens up only this time a year and we were able to find the costume she wanted and we even found one for Kilian. So without further ado I present to you......
CAT NOIR
It's a character from a cartoon that Avery and I like to watch called Miraculous.
I asked her if she was sure she wanted to be cat noir instead of ladybug and reminded her that ladybug is the girl in the story. To which she reply'd "yeah, but shes not a cat." touche. She is very excited about her new costume and was very reluctant when I said she couldn't wear it around all day and we had to put it away so it wouldn't get ruined before Halloween.
With the leaves changing and the hint of autumn in the air, I decided to paint some rocks accordingly. Again I had a lot of fun painting these and I'm always excited to try new things...especially when they turn out so well. My favorite by far in this group of rocks is the Cheshire cat. Seriously LOVE this rock, and I don't plan on parting with it anytime soon. 😀

Family and Quail Creek
My brother Byron and his family came down to go camping in the area. They went over to my parents house for dinner and to celebrate my nieces birthday (Shay-lee) and invited us along. It was a nice evening and it was fun to see Byron and Jill as well as their kids and families. Shay-lee brought her new puppy and it was really nice to see my niece Breanna and her husband Greg. Also Avery was excited to play with Aleesha, McKenzie and their youngest who's name eludes me at the moment. My other niece Erika and her family were coming down the following day to spend the weekend.
Well Friday night I got a text from Erika saying that they were going to be spending the whole day at the lake and invited us to join them. This was finals week for James and he was struggling so he said he would catch up with us later. So I loaded up the kids with some bags and cooler of provisions and off we went. We had so much fun playing in the water with everyone and it felt absolutely wonderful on such a hot day. Byron let Avery ride in his kayak which she loved and Shay-lee had rented a jet ski for the day. Avery wanted nothing to do with it, but Kilian loved it. It sounded like a car and went fast, ahh a boys dream. 😜 After James was done he joined us for the afternoon. We all had a wonderful time catching up and having fun with family. They did invite us over to their camp site for dinner. But James still had some assignments left and the kids and I were exhausted and sun drained. So we said our goodbye's and hugged everyone and went home to shower up and relaxed.

Painters "Rock"
Just wanted to share a few more of the rocks I have painted. The unicorn and the tree in night and day I am especially proud of. The more I practice and paint the more I feel I am able to portray the image from my mind to the rock. :)

My Dapper Guy
Kilian asked for me to take a picture of him when we got home from church. He looked so dapper in his cute little suit I thought I'd oblige. Happy Sunday Everyone!
