Happy Birthday
A long with telling about our Memorial day weekend I also wanted to wish Craig a Happy Birthday. Craig is the husband of my niece Erika. I haven't known Craig for long but I have gotten to know him pretty well. Craig loves to play basketball and football with his friends he loves his wife and little boy Zach very much and would do anything for them...even is it means putting himself aside. He loves to get together with friends and family for a good time, whether it's games, movies or just sitting around talking. He loves the outdoors and being in them. He loves to go camping, fishing and especially hunting it's something he looks forward to every year. So here's to you Craig on your birthday...I hope you have a fun filled day. :)HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Memorial Day Weekend
This weekend was a real welcome. We didn't have to many big plans so I got to make a few plans myself of things I wanted to do. At last minute my boss gave me Friday off which I was pretty excited for. :p Thursday after work Lisa came up to our house, we had planned to go see a movie. Before the movie we got to go watch Nate's Baseball game. He did such a good job and the kids looked like the were having so much fun. Close to the end of the game one of the little boys that wasn't on Nate's team decided he was bored and started running the bases. Both coach's got a laugh out of it and just cheered him on and kept telling him to go to the next base. It was fun. After the game we ran home to grab some blankets and food and I called my supervisor to make sure it was ok we could go. It was a debate between Star Trek and Wolverine. Since James was coming we decided on Star Trek since he's not a big X-men fan. Lisa was really wanting to see it..but being a huge Trekkie. she was a little nervous. :p I don't really like Star Trek never really seen an episode of the old Star Trek and not even really liking any of them I gave it a try while I was in the box office one night and really liked it. Well after the movie James and Lisa couldn't stop talking about it...a lot of it I couldn't really understand what they were talking about..kinda one of those means more to ya if you know the series. So our conclusion...Anyone can like it Trekkie or not...But the Trekkie's are going to understand things more in depth. We had a lot of fun. Friday was SO nice not to have to go to work...at the college. I woke up at 11 and was able to get our entire house clean. Something I haven't been able to do in over 2 months. It felt so good. Latter on that night I had to work at the Drive in which is always fun. It was our opening night for Night at the Museum 2 and we were PACKED. we were pretty pleased about that. Saturday was another nice relaxing day. James was invited to go on a bike ride with some friends and left pretty early that morning. So by the time I woke up he was gone...but not for long. By the time I got some breakfast and started up some laundry he was home. he had a lot of fun. they started in West Haven at Mike's house and rode through Ogden to Ogden Canyon, past Pine view through Eden and then back through North Ogden's pass and back to Mike's house. A total of about 50 miles. he said he was so sore but had such a good time, he couldn't stop grinning. When his friends Alan and Mike told the other guys they were with that that was James' first time they couldn't believe it...then they got mad at Alan for not choosing an easier route for him and his first time. Next weekend they are planning on riding from our house up to Brigham City. After a quick nap we decided it would be fun to go up the canyon to see the wildflowers. It was so pretty up there but a lot of the wildflowers weren't really out yet. But it was a real pretty drive Rosko especially loved it. Then we stopped at the Ogden river walkway to go see the botanical gardens. We had fun walking up there and Rosko had fun interacting with the different people and dogs and even going for a swim in the river. :p The flowers were really pretty...and of course I left my camera in the car. By this time James was really feeling the bike ride. So we left dropped Rosko at home and went and got Costa Vida for lunch and watched a movie before I had to go to work again. It was such a nice relaxing day. Sunday I was scheduled from 7am to close then I had a little time to enjoy family dinner but then was off to work from 7 to close...which turned out to be 10. On Monday we
got with the family to go to a couple graves. It was a beautiful day to be out. We first went to the Wasatch Gardens where Grandma Armstrong's mom and dad were along with Uncle Tom. it's also were my Grandma and Grandpa Perkins graves are and my aunt Gail. On the way down we stopped at a grocery store to pick up some flowers..only to find they were sold out. We couldn't believe it. Well mom gave me some mum's that she already had so that I had something to put on the graves. Thanks Mom! then we went and visited Grandma Armstrong's grave up at the city cemetery. It was so nice to see all those flowers on the graves. I told James how great it is that even if only once a year we have a day set aside to be able to remember our loved ones and visit there graves, and better yet all the people who take time out of their busy lives to do it. It's really great. After we visited the graves we went to a park nearby and had a picnic with lots of yummy goodies and were able to sit and talk till once more it was time to load up and head back up north and go to work. Overall a really great weekend. :)Wednesday, May 20, 2009
Happy Birthday!
Today is my nephew Jeremy's birthday and this is his birthday note. :) Jeremy is a sweet little boy with a big imagination. He loves playing with his brother, sisters and cousins. He loves school and sports and is always ready for the next adventure. Whether it's going to the park or going fishing. He loves his family so much...especially his mom. When I was babysitting for them if Jeremy would wake up after his mom went to work he would cry that he didn't get to say goodbye. After he had his cry out and sometimes fall back asleep he would still be upset till we called his mom so he could talk to her. :) Jeremy is a little shy at first..but once you get to know him he has a ready smile and wants to play or just sit and watch a movie with you. I hope you have a great birthday buddy. :) Monday, May 18, 2009
Sunday Thoughts-Faith, and Making Time
This Sunday I had to work again at the Swap Meet but after I got off work the thought accord to me that I wasn't making enough time for myself to give to the Lord. I have been so focused on work and sleep and James that I have let my scripture study and church attendance slip. I know that I work on Sundays so the church attendance is difficult. But I realized that this weekend that it really isn't. I will feel better throughout the week and will get to worship the Lord on Sunday's even if it may be for only a few minutes by catching the last of church. So as soon as I got home I found an outfit and headed over to the church. Sure enough I got there in the middle of the last speakers talk. So I was only able to listen to about the last 10 to 15 min of sacrament meeting. But it was nice. I was able to sit there with James and enjoy the time I had to listen to this man's talk on Faith. He talked about how even when we cant see the way that is prepared that we need to put our Faith in the Lord that everything will work out. He told a story about when him and his wife where a young married couple and having a hard time. He had a job that didn't start for another 4 months and they were having a hard time getting the things they needed due to the lack of money they had. They only had a little bit of money left but it was their tithing. So he said that they wrote out the check, gave it to the Bishop and then told each other that it was in the Lord's hands now. He received a call the next day from the job that was going to be hiring him in the next few months. They were backed up and asked him if he could start early. So the next day he was able to start this job. I have had a hard time with faith lately and giving wholly to the Lord. I have wanted a baby for awhile now and have been getting a little frustrated with getting pregnant. I know that I need to put my Faith in the Lord that when it is time for us to start our family that it will happen. "Behold the fowls of the air, for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." 3 Nephi 26, 31-33

Happy Birthday
My brother Byron. Byron is Number 1 out of the 8 of us. :) He has 4 girls and 2 grand kids. Byron is very hardworking and always makes sure that the needs of his family are met, he is one of those guys that fits the description of work hard, play hard. Byron loves to do fun things, he likes to khaki, golf, go camping and fishing and taking trips with his family When it's time for work he is focused and determined, but when it comes to play, he is ready to relax and have some fun.HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
The next birthday is my sister Shelly. When my parents thought they had sold they're house they decided to move me down to Monticello early. So for my Junior and Senior year I had the chance to live with Shelly and her husband Nathan. Shelly is someone who isn't afraid to speak her mind. She has helped to show me to be strong. To bite your tongue when you need to and to speak up when it's necessary. She taught me the importance of going for your dream no matter what others may say. If you want it do it. Her and Nathan are also the ones that taught me how to rock crawl in my Jeeps. :) Shelly always has a warm smile and hug on a bad day. She also has tickling fingers and a contagious laugh. For the short time that I lived with them I was taught a lot of the lessons that made me who I am today. I owe them so much I'm not sure how I'll ever repay them. Thanks Shelly!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! -green for frogs. :)

Up's, Down's, All Around's
We had a busy but very fun weekend. Friday night we went over to Nikki's house to help her with some stuff and to pick up Abby for a sleepover. After dropping her and James off at the house I was off to work. It wasn't to bad. We were super busy and I was informed that this was nothing compared to summer. I am very excited what summer in the box office brings. it was really a lot of fun. I got to work box office 2 and instead of a little window to talk to customers you just open the door. It was a lot of fun...and easier to see what was in the back of trucks. :p While I was there James and Abby decided to walk over to Subway for dinner. I think Abby really liked that. I thought I was going to be working the whole night but I was able to leave around 9:30. So on my way home I called up James and asked if him and Abby wanted to go out for ice cream. So after I picked up some dinner of my own I picked them up to go to the Rocky mountain creamery. YUM! James and I love that place.....so does my parents. Whenever they come to visit we always have to go there for ice cream. the rest of the night was spent playing video games with Abby and then watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua. It wasn't as bad as I thought, kinda funny. Abby fell asleep through it and Rosko climbed under the blanket and curled up next to her. It was cute. He also stayed with her in the guest room the whole night. Sat was probably our busiest day. After a breakfast of french toast, eggs and bacon we were feeling pretty good. James and Abby then helped me wash the dishes then off for a bike ride. We have this nature trail close to our home that is really pretty. So we went down there and played on the nature trail and the playground close by for awhile before it was time to head home. After packing everything into the car it was off to Nona and Grumpy's house. (My mother and father in law) James was going to be helping dad with some yard work while Lisa and I kidnapped mom for a girls afternoon. for Mothers day we went in with Lisa to get mom a pedicure. The only problem was that we came up with this idea a little late so all the salons were booked. But luckily Walmart had a California Nails in it that took walk in's. (Nikki I am so sorry for the miscommunication, we should plan a time when all of us can go again.) So unknown to mom we kidnapped her and took her to Walmart...I'm pretty sure she was probably wondering what in the heck she was doing there...after she just got back from there a few hours ago. :p We took her to the nail place and told her Happy Mothers Day we're getting you a pedicure. :) I think she was pretty surprised. We had a lot of fun. Lisa didn't really want to get one so she did a little shopping and reading while we were there. Little miss Abby even got a pedicure. She was REALLY excited about it. After we were done she kept saying that we should get our nails done while we were there. I told mom that I think we created a monster. :p When we got home Nikki was there with the boys and we had a yummy BBQ. Then I had to leave and go to work once again. It really isn't that bad, overall a really good Saturday. :) I hope you liked your girls afternoon out Mom :) Sunday I wasn't scheduled for the morning so I got a chance to go to church. Yay! After we just relaxed till both of us had to be to work. I was closing that night so I didn't get home till a little after 12...James got home a little past 2 :( We were both pretty tired when Monday came. So that was our weekend. :) I hope you didn't mind my ramblings.
We were too...even if it doesn't look like it. :p

Sunday Thoughts

Mothers are the place that we call home.
On them we rest our heads and close our eyes.
For my Sunday thought I want to talk about two very important people in my life...My mothers. my mothers mean everything to me. They have helped me in ways that I never knew possible. Both have been such a strength to me and a great example as well of Christ like love I have learned so much from them. They have made me laugh when I felt like crying, they have listened to me vent and rage over silly topics and they have laughed and played games with me.
To my Mom: I know we have had some rocky times, but I wouldn't trade any of them for the world. i love you so much. I am thankful for the patience you have taught me as well as love. I am thankful for all the silly faces you have made to get me to laugh...I know I say that they are weird or jokingly tell you that you are weird. But I wouldn't trade any of them. Thank You and I Love You!
To my Mother in law: I always worried growing up that I wouldn't get along with my mother in law and I even would pray after hearing some horror stories that I would have a good relationship with my mother in law. When the Lord puts me in James' path I think he also put me there because of you and the family. I couldn't ask for a better mother in law. You have shown me strength that I never thought possible, I have always felt like one of your daughters and I am so thankful for that. Thank You and I Love You!
I hope both of you had a Wonderful Mother's Day.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!
