Hurried Holiday Dec Part 2

I felt that it would be best to do this in 2 parts seeing as how we usually do quite a bit in December.
Avery made a few of these cute little Santa sleighs to give out to her friends and was so excited that I let her use the glue gun all by herself. She did an excellent job.
We tried to take advantage of everything Christmas oriented that we could. The lights at the aquarium were a lot of fun but there was A LOT of people. It was hard to move around let alone take pictures. :p
Avery had practiced and practiced the song her class sang for the school performance. She had a lot of fun and we were very proud of her. After the kids performed the parents got to go to their classrooms and make cute little crafts with them and eat cookies. Avery made a penguin ornament and colored a Snoopy puzzle and was super excited that she got to go home early with us. This was the beginning of a 2 week long Christmas vacation for her.
Avery got to play Mary at the branch Christmas party. She was super excited and took her role very seriously. We all had a lot of fun at the party, Avery had fun singing and playing with her friends and she was super excited to see Santa Claus again. Kilian on the other hand had lots of fun stealing goodies from the food table, listening to the music, but he did NOT like seeing Santa again. :D
The closer Christmas got the more and more excited Avery and Kilian got. Kilian however still doesnt quite understand the concept of waiting till Christmas and decided to try and open some gifts early.
Christmas Eve was a fun relaxing day getting rooms cleaned, cookies decorated, and everything ready for Santa. We also had the chance to face-time Nona and Grumpy in Utah and be apart of Bob's birthday celebration. Avery and Kilian also got to open their Christmas jammies so all the cousins could feel apart of the fun and see what kinds of jammies they all got. Then pictures in the jammies followed by some Christmas shows. Then Avery took special care to write a special note for Santa and she chose a wide variety of cookies for him to eat. She didn't want to leave out milk for him because "it would be all yucky and he wouldn't want to drink it", then off to "bed" to wait for Santa.
Christmas day finally arrived and SANTA CAME!!! :D
James got to be with us for Christmas morning, but then he had to go to work. I put Kilian down for his nap and when he woke up the poor thing had a fever and was super clingy. I think he had some kind of stomach flu because he had bad diapers and couldn't keep anything down. Luckily James' boss let him come home a little over an hour early to help finish up dinner while I sat and held Kilian. He had a fever and was sick for a couple days. Just when we were thinking of taking him into the doctor the fever went away and stayed away and he started to act and feel better. Poor thing. Over all though I think we had a pretty good Christmas.
