Happy Halloween

 

Fall Colors

 For the past few days, I have been trying to help Mom, Kari, and Byron with funeral plans and just being there for Mom. Today, with how heavy and emotional things have been, James and I decided to take a break and go look at the leaves and colors. It was so nice to just go for a drive and get out and enjoy.

Hard to say Goodbye

 We lost my dad tonight. I got the call from my mom a little after 8:00. I went over to be with her and Kari while they waited for Hospice and then the mortuary to come and pick up his body. I am still processing it. It's going to take some time.

Ward Trunk or Treat

 The kids got their costumes just in time for the trunk or treat tonight. Because a bunch of wards were split and created new ones there was a mix of people from about 3 or 4 different wards. So it was fun to see members from our old ward and meet members from our new ward. The kids had lot of fun and there was a great turn out as far as cars giving out candy. The new Relief society president even had a fryer and was making homemade donuts right there in the parking lot. So YUMMY!!!

Scare Crow Walk

Because apparently playing in the pool for 2 hours wasn't enough. :p We met up with Craig, Erika and family tonight at the scare crow walk. This is a fun tradition that we like to do and always love it when we can share it with others. The kids had fun looking at all the spooky and silly "scarecrows" and other fun decorations.

Pool Fun

 

Erika and Craig and their kids are down for their fall break and came over to go swimming with us today. Kilian was so excited to play with his cousin's in the pool (technically 2nd cousins I think) We had so much fun, we had chicken fights, played Marco polo, hands up stands up battles, and categories. Erika even showed our kids some of the fun pool games we use to play. I honestly haven't played in a pool like that for a long time, it was so much fun! We spent close to 2 hours in the pool, everyone was exhausted and hungry afterwards. Thanks Craig and Erika for a fun time!!

New Job

 

I got a new job!!! I now work at the Hurricane animal shelter and get to work with cute little fluff faces like this one all day. I've only been working a week here but Seriously BEST JOB EVER!!!! I get paid to play with dogs and cats pretty much. HOW COOL IS THAT!!!
