Birthday and Fathers Day

This year Avery's birthday fell on Fathers Day. James thought it was kinda cute and really fun to have that happen. So on Sunday morning, Avery and I cooked breakfast for him and took him breakfast in bed. Avery wanted him to open his presents too, she was so excited. Avery made a cute little card for him; he loved it. We also got him a brand new tool box; so that we could get rid of the "tool basket" and have a real place to store our tools. :)  Avery got to wear her new dress to church which she was very excited about. She was being a little rambunctious during primary so they asked me to come and sit with her for a little. I am sure glad I did though cause I got to see them sing the happy birthday song to her. She had the biggest grin on her face, she loved it. After church we let her open the rest of her gifts from us and from Nona and Grumpy. She got some seashells and rocks from Nona and Grumpy's beach. They also sent her her very own baking set, complete with cookie sheet, cutters, rolling pin, spatula and more. Nona also made her a cute red polka dot Mickey apron. She couldn't wait to try them out. We got her a Rapunzel doll and princess castle Lego set that we let her open at her party. But we also got her saw paw patrol toys that she loves. She played with them the rest of the day and wanted to take them to bed. :p That makes you feel awesome as a parent. Both James and Avery agreed to chicken and rice casserole for dinner and I had made cupcakes with purple frosting on top for dessert. We had a really great day, both James and Avery really enjoyed their special day together. :)
