September

We have had a full September. Kilian is growing so fast I cant believe it.
Avery started Kindergarten at a christian private school called Caritas.
We also had a chance to go to my niece Tara's wedding on the 22nd. So Friday morning Avery, Kilian and I headed up to Salt Lake to make it to her reception that night. Avery loved playing with her cousins Lizzie and Becca both at their house and at the wedding. She seemed to make a circle all night; from the photo booth to the dance floor then to the candy/food. That was her whole night she would just go go go.
James was taking the St George shuttle up so after the wedding I went and picked him up. We spent the night at Shelly and Nathan's. We got up early to get a start on our drive up to Oregon. Avery was so tired and dazed I told James it was like she had a sugar hangover from the wedding the night before. :p
We drove the whole way, from Salt Lake to Seal Rock. Kilian was such a trooper, he did so good until about the last hour of the drive. We tried to stop and stretch and let the kids out but still that is such a long drive for those poor kids.
We finally made it to Mom and Dad Armstrongs and Kilian was NOT happy. It took awhile to get him to calm down.
On the 24th he was still NOT happy. He woke up in a new place around new people, he wasnt feeling well and he was still tired and upset from the ride. I was trying to get him to calm down and take a nap. It took a while but I finally got him to sleep and to stay asleep. Which meant I also got a nap.
While Kilian and I slept James and Avery went with the family to the beach and worf.
After that big long nap Kilian was finally feeling better and we were getting our normal happy little boy back. :p (There was also some contention brought on by some family members that could have added to his discomfort.) I wanted to get out of the house so before dinner we went down to the beach for a little while just to get in the sunshine and out of the house.
On Sept 25 Kilian was starting to feel more and more like his happy ol'self. he was sleeping a little better at night and sounding a lot better. So we decided to venture out a little more and go to seal rock and depot bay. Dad decided to get out of the house as well and go with us while Lisa and Mom went shopping. We went to seal rock first to see if we could catch the tide pools with no such luck.
We left to head over to depot bay, we had some minor car trouble where we had to have someone jump our car and then go get a new battery. But after the battery was in and we were going again we headed down to depot bay to see what we thought would be some huge waves crashing against the rocks. We didn't! What we saw was WAY better. WHALES!!!! :D It was so amazing, we got out of the car and I was looking out at the ocean and I saw a whale surface just a little and then I saw the spray of water. We sat there for the next...oh I'm not even sure it had to have been an hour at least if not more. Just watching the whales. There was a lot of them, we saw their tails when they would drive deep and we would see them surface and spray water. it was so COOL! Avery started to get a little bored so we grudgingly left, but I kept my eyes on the ocean while we drove to see if I could see more. :)
After the whales we went back to mom and dads house for dinner. James and I had a chance to have a little time together, so we went and walked along the beach and got to talk and just enjoy each others company. It has been awhile since we've been able to do that.
September 26th was a beautiful day. We headed down to the beach to see the tide pools. Mom wanted a family picture so we snapped a couple shots before we started to play in the water.

 Sept 28:

Avery was SO scared to climb up these but was very brave and a step at a time made it all the way to the top. All 114 stairs up then down. She was super proud of herself and we were too.
