Something new

These are the glass beads I made as well as some of the resin work that I have been trying to learn.

Beautiful drive

After we got home from learning about lampworking it was such a beautiful day I couldn't stay inside and I just wanted to enjoy it. So Kilian and I took a drive to explore the area around us. We live in such an extremely gorgeous area it was so beautiful and peaceful. Kilian and I both really enjoyed it. I kept having to look back at Kilian to see if he was awake he was being so quiet. I asked if he was ok and he just said yeah he was just looking.

Lamp working (glass)

One of the great things that came out of James' hospital stint is that I was able to connect with my ministering sister who has also suffered form mental illness. She was able to help me a lot and gave me a lot of great tips, she also came over and talked with James. We found that we have a lot in common. We both like to craft, make jewelry, paint and etc. One thing she does that I have always been interested in is lamp-work beads. So she invited me over one day and taught me how to make glass beads. It is so fun  but it was a little nerve racking at first. I am so excited to try and enhance this new skill.

Another Doggo

I have been searching for a new dog a little while after we gave Koa to our neighbors daughter Mandi. An older dog that I wouldn't have to train and would be house trained. I tried a dog named Sadie from the Washington animal control. But that was during James' time at the hospital and Sadie attacked our chickens. I couldn't deal with any new added stress at that time.
Then I found this sweetheart from a lady in Hurricane. Her name was Lilly. She was awesome with the kids and a lot of fun....till we got her home. As soon as we got her home and she jumped out of the van, she spotted the goats and all HELL broke loose. At first I thought Lilly was just excited and wanted to run and in her excitement just wanted to chase the goats around. But soon it became apparent that that wasn't the case. When I finally got to Lilly she had caught Winne by the back of the neck. I got her lose and was able to drag her by her collar and harness to the house and asked Avery to keep her there and not open the door. I put her in the house and started to walk down the path to check on Winnie when I saw a flash of black and white run by. Lilly had gotten out of the house. Avery came out of the front saying the back door was open and she got out. I started chasing Lilly who was chasing the goats again. Billy kept trying to head butt the dog but she was able get away from him. She was able to separate Winnie and Billy  in the running chaos. Billy had ran to the backyard and ended up in the house. I asked Avery to try and get him out of the house while I tried to chase down Lilly. Avery got Billy out and he stayed by her on the front porch bleating to Winnie. Lilly had trapped Winnie between the side fence and a storage container that was there. By the time I got there Winnie was shrieking and Lilly had her by the neck and was doing the "kill shake". I got her by the harness and had to smack her on the head a few times before I was able to pull her off Winnie. I dragged Lilly to the car and shoved her in. I tried to get to Winnie but she took off running and Billy ran after her. I decided to let them calm down before I tried to check on her again. I got Lilly out of the car and dragged her to the house, I had Avery make sure the front and back door was closed before I let Lilly go. She had Winnie's blood on her mouth and chest. I got her cleaned up as much as I could. Then I texted the lady we got Lilly from to inform her (in not so much detail) what had happened and that we would be unable to keep Lilly. After I was able to calm down and James came home and was able to help me, we were able to get a closer look at Winnie. She had a gash in her neck. It didn't look as bad as I thought it would. We thought we'd try and get her tomorrow to see if we could treat the wound. AFTER we got Lilly back to her owner.

So the search for a dog continues.

Animals

Chicks are starting to roost. They get so big so fast.
I found this little lizard in the house trying to get warm. I knew if I left him in the house though that Jack (our cat) would probably find him and eat him. so I found a nice warm spot outside for him.
