Kilian wanted a spooky Haunted House and Avery wanted to do a Candy Corn. They both turned out so good.

Trunk or Treat #2
Tonight was Hurricane City's trunk or treat so the kids got in their costumes and away we went. We saw a lot of friends and the kids had a great time. However there was a person dressed up like the clown Pennywise that Avery freaked out about. So he followed us around most of the night just to hear her freak out. It was kinda funny though but she wanted nothing to do with him.
Oh and I told mom that she didn't have to wait for us. If her and dad wanted some pie they could help themselves. When we came home almost half of one was gone. Mom said it was SO good that her and dad both had two pieces each. Hooray!
So James and I had a piece and yup pumpkin pie from scratch is amazing.
Fall Time Treats
I have always wanted to try my hand at a couple of traditional fall time treats. Caramel apples and Pumpkin Pie from scratch. So today was the day. First was the caramel apples that the kids helped me decorate. They turned out SOOOO cute!!! Next was the pumpkin pie. I thought it was going to be super hard but it was actually really easy. The most "difficult" part was baking the pumpkin for over an hour and scooping out the inside from the shell. I am so excited to have done these. We have another trunk or treat tonight so I'll have to wait to try the pumpkin pie a little later tonight. But I am super exited.
Last Farmers Market of the Year
Today is the last Hurricane city farmers market for the season. All the vendors put out candy so kids can come trick or treating too. It's a lot of fun. My kiddos had fun making the rounds again and again to get as much candy as they could.

Fall Festival and Desert Gardens
Avery's choir sang in the Fall Festival at Hurricane High today. She did a fantastic job. I have video of her singing but for some reason I can post videos on my blog.
Afterwards Avery said she wanted to see the scarecrow walk, so we headed down to St. George. In reality she was sad she missed the ribbon dancer and wanted to go and see if she could see her. However she wasn't there yet. The kids were starting to get fussy and fighting a lot with each other and us. So after awhile we just called it a day.
