Party Time!!!

Avery had her very first friends party for her birthday. We have been talking about it for almost the last month and she has been so excited. The day finally came and she had so much fun helping me decorate the park for her party.

James and I were a little nervous about whether or not friends would show up, but they didn't disappoint. :) She had Lelya, Gracie, and Maddie show up from school. Aiden and teacher Crystal from Church and Paul from our neighborhood. Who I was told is actually her boyfriend. :p Also Leyla, Gracie and Paul's sisters joined us as well. We had a fruit salad and watermelon slices and chips to snack on while they raced around the park and played on the playground; and of course a large 5 gallon cooler of water. :) While the kids played we got to know their parents. We "started" at 10:30 and at 11:00 I had a special surprise coming for Avery. Because she didn't get a chance to meet Elsa and Anna at Disneyland I actually found this neat company in town called Princess Parties By Kate which had a great deal to have Elsa and Anna come out for Avery's birthday. EVERYONE loved seeing Elsa and Anna especially the girls. :p The talked with the kids for awhile and then we all went under a shady tree to listen to them read a story about a princess who saved the day. Then they did a mini-coronation with Avery and she got a cute metal crown and everything. After they put the crown on her head they had everyone cheer for Princess Avery. :) Then they stayed awhile longer for pictures and to talk a little more with the kids and play a bit. It was so special and Avery really seemed to enjoy it.
After Elsa and Anna left we sang to Avery and had her blow out the candles so everyone could start having cake. For the kids this didn't last long because they wanted to see Avery open up her gifts. Gifts was a big whirl wind of confusion and not a whole lot of good pictures. :p But lots of fun.
After presents Avery handed out little goodie bags to her friends which they all seemed to enjoy. The girls got crowns, jewelry (both edible and not. :p) strands of fun fake hair to clip in and a couple other little toys and candy. The boys got foam swords, plastic glow in the dark snakes and lizards, candy, play dough and other little toys. Everyone really seemed to enjoy the day and it ended right as the day really started to heat up and get to hot which was perfect. Everyone had a great time, especially Avery. In fact she was sad to see everyone go home and started to say that she was going to miss them. :) So cute.
After we got home from her party we let her own up one more present from us. :)

I think she had a great party and had a lot of fun.
