Visitor

James' sister Lisa bought herself a new car, and wanted to take it for a long drive. So this past weekend she decided to come down for a visit. The kids love when Lisa comes down. They have fun playing with her and spending time with her. She tends to spoil them and the air mattress comes out for Avery to sleep on.

Sunshine Fun

The sun came out to play today HORRAY! We have had SO much rainy weather that it was nice to see the sun out and even nicer to feel that it was actually warm. When I got home from work Kilian was already outside playing. I decided to stay out there with him and play and enjoy the sunshine. When Avery got home from school she immediately went inside and started playing on her ipad. I had to drag her away to get her to come out and enjoy the sun. When the sun went down it started to get cold and we all came in. I really miss the sunshine and get sick of all the rain and cloudy days. It sure was nice being out in that nice warm sunshine.

Blankee

When Kilian was born my mom made this super cute dinosaur blanket for him. He seriously loves this blanket, he curls up with it every night and nap. When he starts to get tired but doesnt want to actually go down for his nap yet. He'll pull it out of his crib and either carry it around the house or put it on the floor and cuddle on top of it burying his face into it, this is his way of showing loves. I think it's so sweet that he loves this blanket so much.

Sunset at the Beach

Tonight was a beautiful night and it was promising to be a beautiful sunset as well. So we decided to head down to the beach as a family to enjoy it. The kids ran around and played, Avery taught Daddy how to do the floss (a dance), and we hunted for good rocks to paint. Then we sat and watched the sun sink into the ocean. Which Avery explained to us is not true and then proceeded to tell us what is really happening and where the sun is really going. :p We headed back to the house with a little light left and as we walked up the driveway Kilian found the solar lights in the tree stumps and figured he found a new best friend. :) It took awhile to convince him it was getting cold and come inside, and eventually he agreed, he patted his new friend on the "head" and told it "night night" and headed in with me to get ready for bed. I love spending time with my family and just being able to enjoy each others company is priceless.

The Wet Lands

Today we had two house showings almost back to back, close enough that we couldn't come home between the two. But far enough apart that we didn't really know how to occupy our time. James and I both were off work and he's been wanting to go to Eugene to visit the wet lands, so we figured this was the best time to do that. So after I got Avery off to school, she didn't know that we were heading out there because it was a bit of a last minute decision. When I got home from dropping her off, everyone was finishing up various tasks to make sure the house was nice and clean and we started talking about how we were going to kill the time. That's when we remembered the wet lands. So we packed up some snacks and a diaper bag and made the 2 hour journey to Eugene. We stopped on the way to get gas and picked up some chips and sandwiches for lunch before we headed on. When we got to the wetlands the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Kilian walked a long way before he wanted to be picked up. Dad and I took turns carrying him on our shoulders. The wet lands reminded James and I of the bird refugee in Brigham City. It was so nice to be out in the sunshine and I even made a new snaky friend. 😋. After the wetlands we headed to Kohls to use James' birthday gift cards and then grabbed some dinner before we made the 2 hour trek home. Overall a very beautiful day spent with family. I kinda wish we would have pulled Avery out of school for the day to go with us though.

Riding Lessons

We have been able to make friends with our neighbors. There's a boy there named Ryan the same age as Avery that she has be-friended and James and I really like his parents Logan and Coral.Yesterday while Avery was over there playing with Ryan. Coral and her daughter have horses and Coral sent me a text saying that Avery is asking if she could ride one of the horses and if I was ok with it she would enjoy giving Avery riding lessons. Uh YEAH I'm ok with it. :) She also sent me this picture:

I told Avery that she could go over after school today and Coral would give her a riding lesson. Avery went straight there and didn't even come home first. :)) I watched form the window to see if I could see when Coral was teaching her. As soon as I saw them I put Kilian in his stroller and walked down there to watch. Avery did SO well, she looked a lot more relaxed than I thought she would be and she even got Ben (the horse she rode) into a trot and stopped him too. I think I had as much fun watching her as she had riding. After the lesson Avery and Ryan took off to play hide and seek and Kilian and I stayed at the barn to talk to Coral and help her get the horses put away. I seriously LOVE horses and have missed being around them so much. Being able to see Avery ride and be around Coral's horses has been such a blessing.

Mean Mommy

Earlier today, Kilian was happily playing in his and Avery's room. I then heard this low cry that started getting louder and louder. I went into the room to find he had tried to take a ride in Avery's Barbie boat. He reached his arms to me for help, but in mean mom fashion I left the room quickly to run and grab my camera. When I got back he looked at me shocked until I raised the camera to take a picture. Then he got really sad and started to cry again. He then got REALLY mad and started to scream at me when I turned the Barbie boat to the front towards me to get a better view for a picture. I then helped him out of the boat and comforted him till he looked at the boat pushed it away from him and left the room to find something else to play with. I am still giggling about this it was SO funny. He sure didnt think so though! Mean mommy leaving to get the camera to take pictures instead of helping him out of the boat. :p

This is the dreaded boat. :p

I'm super surprised at how well he was able to fit almost completely in it.
