Avery left for girl's camp on her actual birthday. So we waited to celebrate when she got home. She wanted cheesecake for her birthday cake.

For her birthday present, she wanted a dinosaur mask that she can use as a base to make her own mask.

Happy birthday to Avery! I think she had a good day.

Girls Camp

 Avery's First Girls Camp!!!!! Oh I am so excited for her and I'll admit a bit jealous too. :) She is going to have such a fun time and I cant wait to hear all her fun stories. But at the same time, its going to be nice to have gone for a week. But I do know that her YW leaders have a fun little party planned since today is Averys birthday. She's going to have SO MUCH FUN!!!!

June Birthdays

 Mina, Preston, Evie, Jojo and Slevin have been at Grandmas house visiting and today we went over for dinner and to celebrate the June birthdays. Since today is Jojo's actual birthday, I made a mermaid birthday cake for all to enjoy. I am super rusty on my cake decorating skills, but she loved it and that all that matters. It was so nice to see their little family again and spend time with them.

Broadway or Bust

 Two weeks ago Avery got to be apart of this theater camp called Broadway or Bust, she said she loved every minute of it. At the end of the two weeks we got to see all their hard work with a fun show they put on. Averys group sang Love is an Open Door, Singing in the Rain Then all the kids sang A million dreams from The Greatest Showman. All the kids did so good and I am amazed at what they were able to put together in just two weeks.

Making New Friends

After we dropped Avery off at her theater camp "Broadway of Bust" i thought it would be fun to let Kilian play at the park for a bit before it got to hot. While there we met this family that was playing "devil sticks". The dad was kind enough to show Kilian how to do it and then let him practice for quite a log time, coaching him the whole time. Dixie got to play with their dog Angel while I visited with the mom. They were super nice people. we enjoyed quite some time with them till he got to hot and we said our goodbyes to retreat into cooler conditions. :)

A New Project

 I've pulled the sewing machine back out and have started another project. Avery wanted to make some snakes, so we chose some fabric and I sewed her some snakes and then stuffed them. She really likes them and I think they turned out pretty good too. I've also been piecing together another quilt. I am so excited about this one and cant wait to see what it looks like all done.

Memorial Day

We got to go put flowers on Uncle Glenn's grave today for Memorial day. It was nice to visit his grave and talk to the kids about their memories of him. We also got to run into Grandma who was also putting flowers on his grave. We also got to do something I have wanted to do since I was a young girl. When I would go out with my family to places flowers on the graves. I would see graves with no flowers and I always felt so sad. I always wanted to get flowers and put them on graves that didn't have flowers on them. So when I went and bought flowers to put on Glenn's grave I bought extras so we can give flowers to a grave site that may no longer have relatives living to do so. I even took pictures of the graves so that I can look these people up and find out a little more about them. I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial day and gets to take some time to remember those loved ones that are no longer here.
