Camping Trip Day 1

 We haven't been camping in such a long time that this is going to be a picture overload. So I am dividing it up by days. We booked this campsite back in February since it's such a popular place it fills up super fast. We went camping at the Red Cliffs Campground in Leeds. The first day wasn't anything to big. We had to run to Grandma and Grandpas to get most of our camping stuff that is being stored there. Then we had to pack up, make a few trips to the store for food and last minute supplies. The kids and I met James at the camp site since He got off work and came straight out there. We got unpacked and camp set up before it was time to start the fire and get dinner ready. Its also been awhile since we haven't had burn restrictions so we were all excited to have a fire and roast hot dogs and s'mores. Cowboy was in heaven with all the different smells and people around to visit. 

It was a beautiful night so we left the tent open so that we could see the stars. When it was time for bed, the kids were still so excited that it took them awhile to actually fall asleep. I tried to help by reading to them, which helped to calm them a little. Eventually we were all able to happily drift off to sleep under the stars. :)

Birthday Girl

 I have an 11 year old....yes you read that right ELEVEN YEARS OLD. Seriously where does the time go. My baby girl keeps growing up to fast. I am super proud of the young lady she is growing into. She amazes me on a daily basis. Here's some fun things about the birthday girl...

At 11 years old some of Avery's favorite things are:

She loves spending time and hanging out with her friends.

She loves being able to see her cousins and spending time with her Nona and Grumpy

Anime particularly My Hero Academia and Demon Slayers

Drawing and crafting. She is getting to be such a good little artist.

Baking and cooking, which again she is getting really good at. She's made us homemade pizza that is amazing.

Spending time with her family and little brother. Which she sometimes denies. :p

Our dog Cowboy and of course her cat Luna

Some of the things she's scared of:

There's nothing really big or consistent that I can think if that she's scared of. Like her Daddy she suffers from anxiety that rears its ugly head at the weirdest times and ways. I think if anything she is becoming a little shy in certain situations. Aunts and Uncles she doesn't see very often and wants to ask a question...things like that.

Some of the New things this year:

 Avery got 2nd place in the science fair this past school year that she is very proud of and rightly so.

She graduated 5th grade and next school year will be headed to Intermediate school. She is both excited and a little nervous about this.

She has started to bake/cook, draw and craft more. She has come up with these cute dragon puppets. She designs all types, styles and can have them do fun stuff. Like blink or change from a fire dragon to an ice dragon.

She is slowly turning into a young lady and leaving her childhood behind, which is both exciting, terrifying and sad. At least for mom and dad. :)

Birthday Party Fun

Today we had A few of Avery's friends over for a birthday party. Nothing to fancy. She invited Caitlin, Averie, Violet and Holland. Holland was the only one who couldn't make it. They seemed to have a lot of fun though. They swam and played games, then took a break so we could sing to Avery and have cake and snacks and open presents. After everyone was back in the pool till parents came to pick them up. Literally parents were pulling up and the girls were still in the pool. Overall it was a great party and Avery seemed to have a great time.
