New Job

 I have been blessed with a new job. At first, I thought it wouldn't work out, but the more I work here, the more everything is just falling into place. My new job is as a technician at Lions Gate Recovery. 

I have been working here now for a couple of weeks...and...well. I would say this text I sent to my husband says it best.

"I think losing my job at the shelter was probably a good thing. I know it was horrible and hard to go through and put me in a deep depression. But since getting fired, I have tried praying more, reading scriptures, and improving my spirituality. Listening to these clients' stories has been so eye-opening and humbling. I have seen the Lord's hand more in my life and those around me in these past two weeks than I have in a long time." 

There is a serenity prayer that the clients always recite that I have really grown to love. I look forward to my time at this job and hopefully to see more growth not just in the clients i get to serve but myself as well.

Serenity Prayer:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. 

Northern Lights in St George.

 Because of a solar flare we were able to see the northern lights in Southern Utah. But we were only able to see them through the camera on our phone. Still it was really neat to see. Avery and I got to get some neat pictures. It was fun spending time with her. 

Happy Halloween

 Halloween starts off with going to Kilians' Halloween Parade at school. This is always so fun to see all the kids dressed up. After the parade, his class had a fun Halloween party. 

Halloween night, we took Kilian out trick-or-treating. Avery went with her friends but still sent me fun pictures of their night. We all had a fun night, and Kilian was the first to say he wanted to go home, he was so tired.

Tale of Desperaeux

 Kilian had a book report that he was supposed to be working on all month. Of course, he didn't tell me till a week before it was due. So we have been reading The Tale of Despereaux. Part of the project is to create a character from the book you're reading from a pumpkin. He worked on his pumpkin tonight while I read the book to him. Since it's due TOMORROW!! 😒

Scarecrow Walk

 Tonight we took Mom to the scarecrow walk and got to share that with her. She had a lot of fun walking around and seeing everything.
