Great news to Cheer up any grey day.
Well These past few days James and I have been a little overwhelmed with life and just when I thought it was about to get worse...it got better. :) James was called into his supervisors office yesterday and was told that he was being promoted. :) YAY!!! He is now a journeymen on his machine. This is something we had been hoping for for a long time but honestly weren't expecting to happen at least for a few years. Last night we were talking to my friend Emily's husband and when he asked James what he did James first started to tell him that he was a Bindery Worker 2 till he stopped himself and said he was a journeymen. He looked at me with this look on his face that said something like "Wow that feels good." His new job does come with a pay raise which is always exciting too. WAY TO GO JAMES!!!

Sunday Thoughts!
Yesterday we had the chance to go on a family walk before dinner. Mom suggested the cemetery and said that it's one of her favorite places to walk. Not only because it was flat ground but also because you can really tell the history of a town by walking through it's cemetery. As we walked the kids would run from grave stone to grave stone to look at the names and dates. We all separated a little and James and I were walking with Abby and Nate We watched them as they would continue to go gravestone to grave stone. Abby would call out to us to come and look at particular ones. We found people who lived and died in Brigham City as far back as the 1800's I think the oldest we found was a woman who died in 1812. As Abby took off running up the lane to go grab he Nona and Lisa to show them the grave stone we had just gotten through looking at James told me to watch Nate for a little bit. Nate would go to the gravestones that had flags on them. He would out his hate on top of the grave stone and then kneel by the grave. James said "He really is his father son. A soldier through and through." I was reminded of the scripture "Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven." (Matt. 18: 4) It was a humbling experience to watch Nate kneel at these graves of these people he never knew. But he was still paying them respect and taking a moment next to their grave, because he knew they use to be soldiers. What a great example. I think even when children grow up they continue to have a heavenly connection. Why would we not want to be humble as a little child?

When it rains it pours
Well I feel safe to post this now. :p This past week hasn't been that great. It has had some little things go wrong as well as some big things. For starters Last Friday i got really sick and was sick through out the whole weekend. Come Monday I still wasn't feeling very well so once again took another day off work. Well Tues came and I still felt horrible but didn't feel justified in taking another day off. So I got ready for work and rode in with James and his carpool. After dropping them off I headed off to work. I was sitting at a stop light when I noticed the car behind me still going very fast. I braced myself for him to slam into my car. When I looked back all I could see was his windshield and then SLAM. He rear ended me. After checking to make sure everyone was ok. I called James to let him know. The guy who hit me was in a hurray to get to work so we exchanged information and I drove back to James' work and lost it. I cant remember the last time I cried so much. I'm such a baby. :p Well James and I made quite a few calls to the guy who hit me to find out insurance info (he was in a huge hurray so I didn't get that from him) then we called the insurance companies then my father in law and then James told me that he was going to take me home to rest and get a doctors appointment. So then I had to call my boss. I felt so bad. I tried to keep it together but was still an emotional wreck and ended up losing it while talking to him. I felt really bad...I think it panicked him a bit. He was really awesome though. He told me to take as much time as I needed and get better. The rest of that day consisted of doctors appointments and sleeping. I received mild whiplash and he put me on some meds and if it gets worse well...we'll just go from there. I went back to work on Wed and for the most part things went better for the rest of the week. I'm just glad it's all over. :)

I will leave it open till March 21st then I will make it private. I hope you'll join us in our quest to become debt free. :)

Happy Birthday!
Today is my nephew Josh's birthday. This little guy is a miracle baby in our family. My sister Shelly and her husband Nathan tried to have kids for about 18 years with no success. Then with a raise from their jobs with the state they were able to go to a doctor. After a few weeks into my mission I got a letter from Shelly and Nathan saying that they were pregnant with little Josh. This little is a mirror image of his father. :) He loves tools and big trucks he likes jeeping and hiking. He loves music and dancing. When he was little after Shelly would get him out of bed he would run into the living room and climb the chair next to the stereo. Turn it on then hit the play button on the CD player. Turning on his favorite song...bohemian rhapsody by Queen. He would sit in the chair and dance. It was so cute. To this cute little guy on his birthday. Have a good one buddy. :)HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

A 5K and Fun
Well I though that i usually post things after they happen. So to change it up a bit I thought it would be fun to post what are plans are for the next few months and into the summer. Our first really big thing is a 5K that is coming up. last year our friend Katie invited us to join her and her husband in the 10K for Peach Days in Brigham City. We accepted and have been working at it ever since. Well James' sister Nikki told us about a 5K run that Abby's school is having and asked if we would like to participate. We thought that this would be a great way to get even more prepared for the 10K so again we accepted. So that is in April. Then James and I were talking about how we want to do more hiking this year to go along with our training. Once again a plan formed to go hike Mt. Ogden as well as another mountain that I cant think of the name right now. :p We are going to do that in June..I think. We also have Jackson Hole to look forward to and many more camping trips planned out and a lot of other fun stuff. So stayed tuned in the future for these post's. :)

Sunday Thoughts.
Yesterday we taught about testimonies and how we can gain a testimony of Joesph Smith, the Book of Mormon, The Savior, etc. James gave the lesson and talked about how important it was that we know for ourselves that these things are true. He gave some examples of when we would use our testimonies in life to point out how important it was to believe in the Savior and the prophets. He drew this chart on the board to help explain some of the steps we can take to gain a testimony.
After we were sitting in sacrament meeting and as I was listening to the many different people giving testimony of the things that they know to be true. It hit me just how great these things are. Not just the gospel but how we have a loving Heavenly Father that is so willing to give us this knowledge and truth. All we need to do is ask. I would like to leave my testimony in this post. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father and that he wants us to live with him again. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that thought him we can repent and be cleansed so that we may be able to return to live with our father. I know that we have a living prophet today who leads and guides this church. I know and can testify that the Book of Mormon is true and that it can change lives. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God sent to bring the truthfulness of the gospel back to the earth. I know that Jesus lives and that he loves us. I love him so much and I know that I can never repay him for the many things he has done for me and blessed me with. But I can try. This is part of my testimony. In this world that is ever growing darker. i am thankful for the light the gospel brings. I know these things to be true. In the name of our Lord and Savior even Jesus Christ. Amen.
