Adventure is Out There

Nikki came and spent the weekend and also to pick up the boys and take them home. Still we thought it would be fun to go on a little adventure. There are two things that Nikki loves to do visit ghost towns and cemetery's. So we thought we'd spend the day on a "mini" road trip. We took them up to Pine Valley to see the old church. I have always wanted to go take a tour of this church. It did NOT disappoint. The man who helped construct it was an old boat maker, so the attic looks like the hull of an upside down boat. There were also able to add their names into the benches in the chapel. I definitely want to visit this place again.

 After the Pine Valley Chapel, we went to Mountain Meadows. This was a great teaching experience for the kids. I know the history of this place is so bloody and morbid. But there is a wonderful peace and stillness there that I always enjoy whenever we visit. I didn't take as many pictures this trip; I guess because we have been to it so many more times before.

 Since we were so far up and going back to the two things Nikki really enjoys. Our last stop before heading to Cedar City for dinner; and then back to St George, was Old Iron town. This is a fun ghost town that is full of history no matter where you go. It has numerous hiking trails that lead to new discoveries.

Rocks and a Fashion Change

I just wanted to share more of the rocks that I’ve painted. Also apparently Kilian thought getting his haircut was so fun that he wanted to try his hand at cutting his own hair. 😳😖

Pioneer Day, Twin Time and New “do’s”

We had a very eventful week. The twins are down and so we've been over to Nona and Grumpy's a lot to see them and to swim in the clubhouse pool. We also got to celebrate the 24th of July (Pioneer Day in Utah) with them and watch the fireworks. It has been a really great week. Oh and school starts in a couple weeks so I wanted to try and beat the rush and get the kids haircuts early. Avery looks so cute in her little bob. At first I didn't think she'd want to go short but she surprised me. Kilian looks like a handsome little man.

Boys will be Boys

This little scamp has my heart 100% He is the funniest little boy. He's also getting into that "not liking clothes phase." 😆

4th of July

Happy 4th of July! We had so much fun. I took the kids down to the carnival in downtown. They rode rides and got to play some games, Avery won a goldfish. I wasn't to happy about that but oh well.
























After the carnival we went to Nona and Grumpy's for a BBQ and to watch and set off fireworks. Their balcony overlooks the whole valley, so it was the perfect location to watch the fireworks without the crowds. :D
