Boxes and a box fort

So this is why we have been a bit doom and gloom lately. On June 1st we had a knock on our door. It was our landlord Curtis. He said that him and his wife were going to sale their house in town and needed to move back into the rental where we were living. He gave us 30 days to be able to get out. lets just suffice it to say we are NOT happy. We've been collecting boxes so we could start packing up and decided to let the kids build a box fort. Which they love.
Honestly we have tried everything to stay in this house. Nathan and Shelly even offered to buy it from Curtis and then either sale it to us or be our new landlords. Anyway nothing has worked. Rental prices right now are astronomically high and honestly we weren't sure what to do. With a lot of thought, prayer and searching we came up with a logical solution. We went and talked to my mom and dad and pitched the idea of us moving in with them. We would pay rent and help out around the house. Mom is super excited about the prospect. It took awhile to explain to Dad the concept and what we were talking about. His dementia is really getting bad.
Anyway so that is the plan right now. We are going to get a storage unit to put all our stuff in and we will be moving in with my parents. Honestly at this point I don't know if it'll be until we can find something affordable to rent or until Dad passes or indefinitely. But we get to keep Buddy and Jack (our dog and cat). So we'll just take it a step at a time and day at a time.
