This is turning out to be one of my favorite holiday traditions that we do. We started this last year and had such a great time that we wanted to continue it. Unfortunately Avery is t feeling very well so James stayed home with her and Kilian and I got to go. This year they had hot chocolate while we waited. Then someone from Wreaths Across America talked about how they got started. Then a soldier talked about the importance of helping our local veterans especially those suffering from PTSD. Another man talked about his father’s service in the military. Then they had the presenting of the wreaths for all the branches of the military presented by someone who served in that branch. They even had a wreath for the soldiers who are considered POW’s or MIA. Then they invited family members first to grab wreaths and lay it on their loved ones graves. Then the rest of us were allowed to take wreaths to the graves of the soldiers buried at the Toquerville Cemetery. Such an amazing experience. There is even soldiers buried there from the civil war. After all the wreaths were placed Kilian and I had to run to the store. But on our way back home I decided to stop by my Uncle Glenn’s grave to make sure he was given a wreath. After paying our respects to him, straightened the bow on his wreath and took some pictures to send to my cousins Zane and Tavis, we headed home.
